I love meditation.

It’s become such a big part of my life now, and have changed my perspective, as well as my thoughts, hopes, fears and expectations, a lot since it became a part of my everyday life.

But it wasn’t always that way. Meditation used to intimidate me. And, for a long time, I just thought it was kind of bullshit.

Until I realised that the image of meditation that I had in my mind, was nowhere near what the type of meditation that would be useful for me. In my mind, it had to be done with a completely clear and empty and quiet mind (impossible for me), in a completely silent place (also impossible for me), and had to be done for long periods with your legs crossed, and in touch with your own inner peace and open to whatever the universe had in store for me.

That’s not really how I do it.

I don’t ever have a quiet, clear mind, and I pretty much never have a completely silent, peaceful space around me. So I make do. I do it MY way. I do meditation in a much more ‘everyday’ kind of way.

And I think I am probably not the only one.

So I have started to record these meditation albums, and over the next few months, I will be adding more and more tracks and episodes to them.

Starting with the ‘Calm’ album below, please feel free to listen to these meditations and use them in your own lives if you find them helpful. All of the episodes are between 15 and 25 minutes long, and you definitely DON’T need to do them in complete silence, cross-legged, or anything else for that matter. Enjoy them how YOU want to. And I hope you do.

A feeling of calmness can be pretty elusive sometimes, and even sometimes when we DO feel it, it can be fleeting and leave us just as quickly as it came.

So in this guided meditation album, we are going to take some really big steps to be more in control of whether we are feeling calm or not, see if we can extend that period of calmness as long as we can (or want to), and be able to almost dial up a feeling of calm when we need it in the future.
